Supabase SQL scripts for VIC backend setup

1) Fix class creation RLS + class code generation

Run sql/fix_classes_rls_and_class_code.sql in the Supabase SQL editor.

This script:

• Adds users.auth_user_id to connect public.users to auth.users.
• Fixes classes RLS so authenticated teachers can only view/manage their own classes.
• Auto-generates a unique 7-character class_code if one is not provided.

2) Seed bulk test data

Run sql/dev_bulk_seed.sql in the Supabase SQL editor.

This script inserts:

• 3 teachers
• 24 students
• 5 classes
• enrollments linking students to classes
• 2 sample lessons

3) Add student parent email field

Run sql/add_parent_email_to_users.sql in the Supabase SQL editor.

This script:

• Adds users.parent_email for storing a reusable parent/guardian email per student.

Report email delivery (Phase 2)

To enable emailing VIC Learning Reports, configure:

• RESEND_API_KEY - API key used for transactional delivery via Resend.
• REPORTS_FROM_EMAIL - verified sender identity (for example: VIC Reports <[email protected]>).
• Existing Supabase server variables are also required for recipient resolution:
  • NEXT_PUBLIC_SUPABASE_URL
  • NEXT_PUBLIC_SUPABASE_PUBLISHABLE_KEY
  • SUPABASE_SERVICE_ROLE_KEY

Assistant Principal first build

/assistantprincipal is a school-scoped principal workspace. Run sql/assistant_principal.sql before enabling it and provision an entitlement for a verified school leader account. An existing teacher account may retain its teacher role. See docs/assistantprincipal-onboarding.md for setup, school onboarding, current capabilities, and data-connection limits.
