npm install -g @assethub/cli
assethub auth login --api-key-stdin
assethub doctor
Create an API key in AssetHub, run the login command, paste the key, and finish standard input with Ctrl+D on macOS/Linux or Ctrl+Z then Enter on Windows. The key selects the workspace for API operations. Do not put keys in issue reports, committed files, or command arguments.
CLI 0.1.21 discovers personal access for eligible existing sk_ keys as well as
ah_pat_ keys. Use workspace list --profile <saved-profile> and workspace use <workspace-id> to select an allowed workspace while keeping the same key and
profile. Existing workspace keys retain their current behavior.
capabilities reports the operations available to your account. Some features
are in Internal preview. Generation and analysis use workspace credits.
assethub models list
assethub canvas list
assethub --help
See the CLI reference for generation, source imports, moodboards, versioned context, comparisons, retries, and evaluations.
Discover and execute operations advertised to your authenticated workspace:
assethub api search compose
assethub api describe "POST /mesh/compose"
assethub api call "GET /canvases/{canvasId}/nodes" --path-json '{"canvasId":"123"}'
assethub skills list
assethub skills get my-method
Use api call with --input-json for JSON bodies and an explicit stable
--operation-id <uuid> for mutations. Read the operation contract first;
normal gates, workspace permissions, and credits apply. Inspect returned run
IDs before retrying. skills also supports learning, updates, controls, and
proposal review/publication through the server's Workspace Skills contract.
CLI 0.1.20 accepts V3.6.5 (Primary Images) and pluffy (Chibi Character v3.1)
for parts split and production analyze. Both are Internal-only server models;
check assethub production agents for availability. The V1.5 default is unchanged.
CLI 0.1.26 adds V3.0.9 Garment Boundaries and Humanoid Assembly (internal)
to the same Internal-only part extractor set; see the
CLI reference for the full name and alias
list.
assethub --version
assethub doctor --profile my-workspace
assethub doctor --mcp --profile my-workspace
assethub mcp config --client cursor
assethub mcp config --client codex
doctor reports the authenticated workspace, API access, and optional MCP tool
discovery as JSON. It explains rejected keys, unavailable MCP access, rate limits,
and network timeouts. It does not run tools or spend generation credits. Exit 2
means a check failed; use --timeout-ms 30000 for a slower connection.
MCP configuration prints Cursor JSON or a Codex TOML section. Merge it into your
existing user configuration; it does not modify any settings. Both clients read
ASSETHUB_API_KEY from their launch environment. No key is printed or embedded.
CLI saved profiles and the AI client's environment are separate; use the same
workspace key in both. --base-url supports custom HTTPS URLs (including path prefixes) and localhost.
An explicit --profile selects that profile's key and API origin even when the
shell contains another workspace's environment variables. A missing explicit
profile fails instead of switching accounts. Without --profile, a workspace selected with workspace use takes precedence
over environment API credentials; otherwise the environment key precedes the
saved default. --api-key and
--base-url remain explicit overrides.
npm install @assethub/api-client
import {createAssetHubClient} from '@assethub/api-client'
const client = createAssetHubClient({apiKey: process.env.ASSETHUB_API_KEY!})
const models = await client.v2.listModels()
console.log(models)
The API key belongs in a trusted server or local process. See the SDK reference and API documentation.
AssetHub provides a hosted MCP endpoint at https://app.assethub.io/api/mcp.
There is no local MCP package to install. Run assethub setup to sign in, detect
Claude Code, Codex, and Cursor on this machine, write the MCP entry into each one,
and install the bundled assethub skill that teaches the agent the command
sequence, cost rules, and recovery steps. Use assethub setup --dry-run to
preview, and assethub doctor --setup to check it later. The
CLI & MCP setup page includes the same
Cursor and Codex configuration for manual setup. CLI and hosted MCP are available to all AssetHub users;
workspace ownership, permissions, and credit requirements apply.
npm ci
npm run check
node packages/assethub-cli/dist/index.js --help
check builds both packages, typechecks them, and runs their tests. Tests use
local fixtures and mocked API responses; they do not require an AssetHub key or
start paid generations. Python 3 is required for source-ingestion tests. Optional
PDF/video ingestion tools are documented in the CLI reference.
This repository contains the public distribution sources, beginning with the CLI 0.1.7 and SDK 0.1.2 releases. It has no dependency on the private application checkout. Legacy internal workspace commands and the experimental autopilot demo are unavailable in the standalone distribution, as in CLI 0.1.7.

assethub mcp tools --profile my-workspace
assethub mcp tools image_generate --profile my-workspace
The first command returns a compact list of tools and their action annotations.
The second returns the live description and input schema for one tool, including
required fields. Both use the selected profile and the same bounded checks as
doctor --mcp; they do not invoke tools or spend credits. Discover names first
because server capabilities can change.
