Car Studio
An interactive collection of seventy-eight road cars and thirty-three Formula 1 cars. Choose a card, orbit the model, isolate a component or mesh piece, and use the explosion slider to separate its geometry. Both collections can be searched or browsed alphabetically by make and model, and previous/next buttons on each car's detail page step through the same alphabetical order without returning to the collection grid.

Run locally
Requires Node.js 22.13+ and npm. Everything lives directly in this directory.

npm run build produces the Vinext / Cloudflare app. npm run build:vercel builds the standalone browser app in dist/vercel. The checked-in Vercel configuration includes direct car and Formula 1 routes. No database or environment variables are required.
Assets and scope
See MODEL_SOURCES.md for creator credits, source links, licenses, and conversion notes. The Range Rover asset is noncommercial, share-alike; its license is distinct from the other models.
The models have different source detail levels; the Diablo and the Cullinan are intentionally labeled low-poly studies. Selectable pieces are artist-authored geometry, not verified manufacturer service parts. The Tesla has illustrative battery, drive, and suspension geometry. The Porsche 930's fender antenna has been removed. The Audi R8 and Lamborghini Urus are aftermarket widebody builds rather than stock cars, and the Lamborghini Urus asset is noncommercial, like the Range Rover. The Ford Mustang Shelby GT500, McLaren F1 (1993), Supra Mk4, Porsche Boxster Spyder, Ferrari F8 Spider, Ferrari Portofino, Mercedes-AMG SL 63, Nissan Versa, Range Rover Evoque, Bentley Mulliner Batur, Bentley Continental GT, Cadillac Escalade ESV, Toyota GR86, Toyota Land Cruiser 250, and Kia Forte assets are also noncommercial. The BMW M3 (E46) asset is noncommercial without a share-alike requirement, like the Lamborghini Urus.
Model conversion uses Blender’s bpy module. scripts/convert-classic-cars.py handles the F40 and 930; scripts/convert-collection-model.py handles the expanded collection. scripts/render-car-cards.py renders card images from the exported models. Original source downloads are not required to run the app.
