CDCat
CDCat is a non-profit music database made by music lovers. It focuses on music that is easy to lose track of: doujin releases, game and anime soundtracks, Vocaloid, Touhou arrangements, covers and other Japanese music.
This repository is the CDCat website.
CDCat only holds information about music. It has no audio files, so there is nothing to download or stream. If you like what you find, please buy the CD or the digital release, or listen on a licensed streaming service.
What you can do on CDCat
- Browse albums and tracks. Albums come with tracklists, credits, editions (limited, regular, digital, hi-res …), store bonuses, scans of the cover, booklet and discs, and links to official shops and streaming services.
- Look up artists. Find the people, groups, doujin circles, labels and virtual singers behind the music, with their releases and every track they are credited on.
- Follow events. See doujin events such as M3 and Comic Market, edition by edition, with the albums first released there, venue maps and booth lists.
- Explore by source work. Albums are connected to the anime, games, films and other works they come from, and works are grouped into series.
- Read lyrics. Original lyrics, translations and romanizations, where contributors have added them.
- Keep track of your listening. Favorite albums, tracks and artists, mark what you plan to listen to, have heard, want or own, and rate and review albums.
- Join the community. Talk about music in the discussions and write or read articles.
The site is available in English, Japanese, Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese.
