Designed to run with /loop.
Run these two commands on each machine you use Claude Code from:
claude plugin marketplace add CodePulseHQ/babysit-prs-plugin
claude plugin install babysit-prs@babysit-prs-plugin
This is one-time per machine — the skill, its helper scripts, and the session-naming hook all install together, so there's nothing else to copy around.
The plugin is pure Python (stdlib only) plus git/gh shell-outs, invoked as python3 <script> rather than executed directly, so it installs and runs identically on WSL, native Windows, macOS (Intel or Apple Silicon), and Linux — no platform-specific setup beyond the requirements below.
plugin.json intentionally omits version, so Claude Code versions each install by this repo's resolved git commit — every push here is a new version, no manual bump needed.
Third-party marketplaces have background auto-update off by default. To turn it on per machine, either run /plugin → Marketplaces → select babysit-prs-plugin → Enable auto-update, or add to settings.json:
{
"extraKnownMarketplaces": {
"babysit-prs-plugin": {
"source": { "source": "github", "repo": "CodePulseHQ/babysit-prs-plugin" },
"autoUpdate": true
}
}
}
With auto-update off, pull the latest manually instead:
claude plugin marketplace update babysit-prs-plugin
claude plugin update babysit-prs@babysit-prs-plugin
claude plugin uninstall babysit-prs@babysit-prs-plugin
claude plugin marketplace remove babysit-prs-plugin
# Monitor current branch's PR every 5 minutes
/loop 5m /babysit-prs
# Monitor a specific PR every 5 minutes
/loop 5m /babysit-prs 287
# Monitor all your open, non-approved PRs every 10 minutes
/loop 10m /babysit-prs all
# Opt in to merging: approved PRs are merged once CI is green, with no open
# threads, and only bottom-up through stacked PRs
/loop 5m /babysit-prs all merge
Merge mode is off by default. Without merge, babysit-prs never merges anything and stops touching a PR the moment it's approved. With merge (optionally merge=squash|merge|rebase), it keeps tracking approved PRs until they merge, understands stacked PRs (a PR whose base is another PR's branch) and only merges bottom-up, and brings approved PRs up to date via the update-branch API instead of rebasing so approvals aren't lost.
See skills/babysit-prs/SKILL.md for the full behavior.
CodePulse is an AI code-review bot that reviews every PR across correctness, security, resilience, and standards, then posts severity-tagged findings straight to GitHub. babysit-prs treats CodePulse as a first-class reviewer: it reads its review summaries (not just inline threads), verifies its findings before acting on them, and won't consider a PR done while CodePulse still has an unaddressed should-fix/must-fix item outstanding.
Run CodePulse on your repo to get thorough, always-on review coverage, then point /babysit-prs at the resulting PRs to close the loop — feedback in, fixes and replies out, automatically.
Bundles a UserPromptSubmit hook that renames the session to <repo>#<pr> (or <repo>#ALL for all mode) whenever /babysit-prs is invoked, so babysat sessions are identifiable in /resume, the terminal tab, and the sessions sidebar. Requires the gh CLI on PATH and authenticated.
gh CLI, authenticatedpython3 on PATHSession doesn't get renamed / skill can't fetch PR data. The most common cause is gh not being authenticated on that machine — check with gh auth status. The naming hook fails silently (no title change, no error shown) when gh can't resolve the current PR; the skill itself will surface a clearer error from gh pr view when it can't read PR state.
Plugin shows "failed to load" after install. Run claude --debug to see the specific load error, or check /plugin → Installed → the plugin's entry for the reported reason. Re-run claude plugin validate . against a local checkout to catch manifest issues before they reach a machine.
