Everything else — the FAQ, privacy policy and terms — is at ghostcopy.app.
Right-click a file and choose Send with GhostCopy. It goes to your other devices without opening the window, and a notification confirms it. Files can be up to 10 MB, and GhostCopy must already be signed in.
ghostcopy sends through the GhostCopy app running on your computer, so it uses your account
without signing in itself. Turn on Settings → Command line & AI tools in the app
first. It is off by default.
ghostcopy send "https://example.com" --to phone
ghostcopy send - < notes.txt # text from standard input
ghostcopy send-file report.pdf # up to 10 MB
ghostcopy devices
--to takes phone, desktop, ios, android, macos, windows or linux, and defaults to the
Send to devices setting. --json prints machine-readable output, and the exit code says what
happened (0 sent, 1 usage, 2 GhostCopy unreachable, 3 refused, 4 send failed, 5 no answer
after sending - check your history before retrying).
For assistants without a shell, such as Claude Desktop, ghostcopy mcp is an MCP server with
send_text, send_file and list_devices tools:
{
"mcpServers": {
"ghostcopy": { "command": "/path/to/ghostcopy", "args": ["mcp"] }
}
}
Windows MSIX packages from 1.0.22.0 register ghostcopy automatically, and the Linux installer puts
it in ~/.local/bin. The macOS app carries it from 1.0.10, at
/Applications/GhostCopy.app/Contents/Helpers/ghostcopy; Settings → ghostcopy command →
Install links it into /usr/local/bin.
Full setup instructions: CLI and AI tools (website route /ai-tools).
For older packages, build it with
cd packages/ghostcopy_agent && dart pub get && dart compile exe bin/ghostcopy.dart -o ghostcopy.
Clone and fetch dependencies
git clone https://github.com/g1mliii/Ghostcopy.git
cd Ghostcopy
flutter pub get
Create the database. The schema lives in supabase/migrations/. Link
the Supabase CLI to your project and push it:
supabase link --project-ref <your-project-ref>
supabase db push
Point the app at your Supabase project
There is no .env file. Edit _supabaseUrl and _supabasePublishableKey at the
top of lib/main.dart. A publishable key is public by design - the security
boundary is Supabase's RLS policies, not hiding the key.
For mobile builds you also need Firebase config, which is gitignored:
android/app/google-services.json and
ios/Runner/GoogleService-Info.plist. For the iOS build-check workflow, add
a repository Actions secret named IOS_GOOGLE_SERVICE_INFO_PLIST under
Settings → Secrets and variables → Actions → New repository secret.
Use the complete plist XML as its value (no base64 encoding); CI writes and
validates the file before compiling. Desktop does not use FCM and needs
neither.
Run it
flutter run -d macos # or windows, ios, android
A release macOS build needs two Cargo variables; see CLAUDE.md. Shipping builds are made by the
scripts in installer/ — docs/macos-releases.md is
the macOS runbook.
