🐍 MEGA SNAKE
Snake, but with way too many features: nine game modes, power-ups and downer-ups, chaos events, a roguelite
perk mode, 45 achievements, daily quests, a coin shop, eight themed maps, ghost replays, gamepad support, and LAN or online multiplayer for up to four players.
What's actually under the hood
Most snake clones stop at "snake moves on a grid." This one doesn't:
- Authoritative multiplayer — a host simulates the whole game; up to 3 guests (LAN or over a
Cloudflare Workers relay) just send inputs and render snapshots, with a jitter-adaptive playout buffer
so remote play stays smooth instead of jittery.
- Reconnect-with-token — drop your connection mid-game and your seat is held for 20 seconds so you
can rejoin instead of losing the run.
- Self-updating builds — an in-game updater checks GitHub Releases and replaces the running
executable on its own, no reinstall required.
- 144p to 4K rendering — everything is drawn in logical units and rescaled, so the same game looks
right at any resolution or window size.
- Full CI/CD — every push builds Windows/macOS/Linux binaries via GitHub Actions; tagged releases
publish them automatically as permanent download URLs.
- Achievements, quests, daily streaks, a shop, chaos events, and a roguelite perk mode on top of all that.
Game modes

| Coop | Local two-player on a shared board. |
| Daily | The same layout and chaos events for everyone, today only. |
| Roguelite | Walls plus chaos events, and a pick-1-of-3 perk every 8 foods. |
Multiplayer supports up to four players over LAN (type the host's IP) or online (share a 5-character room code; a small relay
server connects you, and dropped players can reconnect). The host runs the game;
everyone else sends inputs and draws what the host sends back.
