⚠️ Breaking change — v0.38.0 is MT-only
Version 0.38.0 is a major, breaking release. This integration now supports only Meraki MT environmental sensors. Support for MR wireless access points, MS switches, and MV cameras has been removed entirely — those platforms, entities, services, and configuration options no longer exist in this integration.
Upgrading automatically migrates your configuration. On first start after upgrading, the integration rewrites your config entry to MT-only and removes any non-MT (MR/MS/MV) devices and their entities from the Home Assistant device/entity registries. A repair notice ("Meraki Dashboard is now MT-only") is raised in Settings → Repairs to explain what happened. Your MT sensors and their history are not affected.
If you rely on MR/MS/MV monitoring today, do not upgrade until you have an alternative in place — those integrations are gone, not deprecated, and there is no supported way to keep using this integration for anything other than MT sensors going forward.
MT20/MT30 button-press caveat: MT20 (door) and MT30 (button) events are surfaced by polling the Meraki API on your configured interval, not by a push/webhook mechanism. This means a fast button press or door open/close can be missed or reported late if it happens between polls. Meraki webhooks would be more reliable for these event-driven devices, but wiring up a webhook receiver is out of scope for this integration today.
This custom integration allows you to monitor your Cisco Meraki MT environmental sensors through Home Assistant.
🌡️ MT Environmental Sensors Support
🔄 Automatic Device Discovery - Automatically discovers MT sensors in your organization
⚙️ Flexible Configuration
📊 Real-time Updates - Fetches latest sensor data at your configured interval
🏢 Multi-Network Support - Monitors MT sensors across all networks in your organization
📱 Device-Centric Design - Each Meraki device is registered as a device with its metrics as entities
🩺 Minimal Health Diagnostics - A small set of organization/network health sensors (API call status, device counts) is kept for visibility into the integration itself
This integration follows Home Assistant best practices:
This integration is available in the default HACS repository (no custom repositories required).

Entities are created with the following naming pattern:
sensor.{device_name}_{sensor_type}binary_sensor.{device_name}_{sensor_type}For example:
sensor.office_mt20_temperaturesensor.warehouse_mt30_humiditybinary_sensor.server_room_mt15_water_detectionEach sensor entity includes the following attributes:
serial: Device serial numbermodel: Device modelnetwork_id: Meraki network IDnetwork_name: Meraki network namelast_reported_at: Timestamp of last sensor readingautomation:
- alias: "Water Leak Alert"
trigger:
- platform: state
entity_id: binary_sensor.basement_mt20_water_detection
to: "on"
action:
- service: notify.mobile_app
data:
title: "Water Leak Detected!"
message: "Water detected in the basement!"
type: entities
title: Office Environment
entities:
- entity: sensor.office_mt20_temperature
name: Temperature
- entity: sensor.office_mt20_humidity
name: Humidity
- entity: sensor.office_mt20_co2
name: CO2 Level
- entity: sensor.office_mt20_indoor_air_quality
name: Air Quality
