Prosfores Pantou (Προσφορές Παντού)

A single-entry point aggregator for Greek supermarket deals. Instead of checking individual apps or printed leaflets, shoppers can search current offers across AB Vassilopoulos, Lidl, Sklavenitis, Masoutis, and more in one place.

Architecture & Tech Stack

This project is built with a modern, high-performance web stack and an AI-driven data pipeline:

• Frontend: Next.js 16 (App Router) + React 19 + Turbopack.
• Backend: Next.js Server Actions with Zod validation and Sentry instrumentation.
• Database: PostgreSQL (Neon) managed by Prisma 7 (Driver Adapter pattern).
• State: Zustand for persistent shopping lists.
• Scraping: Playwright + Cheerio for resilient, stealthy data ingestion.

The Data Pipeline: Agentic Ingestion

To maintain a pristine database without duplicates (e.g., "Gala delta 1L" vs "Delta fresco gala 1L"), the project uses a Master Catalog strategy powered by AI:

1. Master Catalog: High-quality product data (descriptions, images, barcodes) stored in the Product table.
2. Extractor Agents: Store-specific scripts (src/scripts/extractors/*) that scrape raw text and prices from supermarket e-shops or digital flyers.
3. Matcher Agent: A universal script (src/scripts/matchers/*) using Groq/Gemini to intelligently map the raw extracted text to the correct SKU in the Master Catalog.
4. Review Queue: If the AI is not 100% confident in a match, the item is sent to the PendingMatch queue for manual human approval in the Admin Panel.

Getting Started

Prerequisites

• Node.js (v24+)
• Git Bash (if on Windows)
• A PostgreSQL database (like Supabase or Neon)

Installation

1. Clone the repository and install dependencies:

   npm install
   

2. Set up your environment variables by copying .env.local.example (or configure your .env.local directly with your database URLs, GROQ_API_KEY, etc.).
3. Sync the database schema (Do NOT use prisma migrate):

   npx prisma db push
   npx prisma generate
   rm -rf .next
   

4. Start the development server:

   npm run dev
   

Developer Guidelines

• Database Changes: Always run npx prisma db push && npx prisma generate && rm -rf .next after modifying prisma/schema.prisma.
• Styling: The project primarily uses Vanilla CSS (globals.css) and inline styles. (Tailwind is installed but its use is restricted/experimental).
• Server Actions: All data mutations must happen via Server Actions wrapped in Sentry.withServerActionInstrumentation.
