RealRate is a market analysis and personal finance app for Iran, running on Cloudflare's edge.
It computes the intrinsic value and the bubble of gold and coins, tracks currencies, stocks and funds, and manages
portfolios, expenses, accounts, loans, incomes, cheques and subscriptions — all end-to-end encrypted.
The web app is at realrate.geekio.org; the Android app (the full build records expenses from bank SMS; a no-SMS build is made for stores such as Google Play) is on the
app page or the latest release.
The interface is in Persian (right-to-left, Shamsi calendar, amounts in tomans).
Features
- Market: intrinsic value and bubble of gold and coins (the coins' bubbles computed by the app from the ounce and the dollar), 16 currencies and USDT, Tehran Stock Exchange symbols and funds — updated automatically (each source at most every 5 minutes), on a home page each user lays out (averages, linked assets, cards combining assets with a formula, and when each price last changed, «آخرین تغییر») (the rates page is for Pro users); the home page is a widget dashboard each user arranges, on the web and on mobile (month summary, expenses, loans, goals, rates, news, the AI analysis, ...)
- Portfolio: multiple portfolios, buy/sell transactions with weighted average cost, live profit and loss, a value-history chart from the first purchase to today (in tomans or dollars, with the 24-hour, 7-day and 1-month change on the «total value» card), custom categories, public sharing
- Expenses: everyday expenses by category with monthly budgets; projects (a project is where an expense is, not its category, so each project expense keeps its own category); each expense in tomans, dollars, euros, lira or dirhams at that day's rate from the price history; the account that paid («پرداخت از», or that currency held in a portfolio) and the loan that funded it («تأمین از»); subscription, installment and cheque payments recorded as expenses automatically; CSV export and import
- Accounts: bank accounts (Iranian banks, foreign banks and international online accounts), cash and wallets, each in one or more currencies with this month's spending per currency and its toman approximation; the source of every expense, the match for bank SMS, and transfers between accounts («انتقال بین حسابها»)
- Bank credit (new): the limit and the debt, spending from the credit, «تسویه بدهی» and «تبدیل به قسط» by hand (each installment with its own day and amount), and the settlement and installment fees worked out from those amounts and kept with their record
- Loans: installment schedule, paying an installment with its own day and amount, extra payments, settled loans hidden from the list by default, banks with logos, and loan usage (what the loan paid for, and how those purchases did against the loan's rate)
- Incomes: by source and month, in tomans, dollars, euros, lira or dirhams (rate from that day's price history); categories such as «فروش دارایی» stay out of the totals; CSV export and import
- Cheques: received and issued, due dates, status tracking with history, reminders, and AI cheque scanning; a cheque is a way of paying, not a category (each has its «بابت» category and an account), and a cleared cheque records its income or expense
- Subscriptions (new): every subscription in tomans or another currency with its renewal cycle, start and end; the period's progress bar and days to renewal, the monthly and yearly total, recording a payment (auto-renewing ones recorded as expenses), and a reminder before each renewal

Running locally needs only wrangler (local D1 and KV): docs/en/SETUP.md.
Deployment
A merge into main deploys everything: the frontend to Cloudflare Pages, the backend with Cloudflare Workers Builds, and a
signed Android APK to Releases (GitHub Actions).
Manual backend deploy when needed: npm run api:deploy.
