सारोह (saaroh): sa, "with", and aaroh, "rising". Let's rise together.
Saroh is built for businesses like a gym, a yoga studio, a clinic, a design studio or a shop: one login instead of four tools. It is source-available, so you can use, modify and self-host it, including to run your own business (licence).
Where it stands: early, and built in the open. The hosted service is not open yet — join the waitlist at saroh.in. The whole product runs on your machine today; running your own copy for real use works but has no step-by-step guide yet (what it takes).

A four-minute tour of the workspace, with
voice-over: a shop's products and orders, a gym's members, memberships and
invoices, a yoga studio's courses and class packs, a team and its roles, and
the same person seeing less as a member of staff. Filmed from the running
product against the showcase seed, so every screen is real. The film is in the
repository too, at
docs/demos/tour/saroh-tour.mp4.
A two-minute look at one product, a boutique's dress: its page as the team
sees it and as a customer sees it, a quick edit in a sheet and its Undo, the
stock for each size, a new cover photo, and a reply to a review. At
docs/demos/tour/saroh-products.mp4.
A business turns on the parts it needs; each is a module it can switch on or off. One login can hold several businesses, and the workspace changes shape with the one you are in.
Pages built from blocks — hero, services, booking, enquiry form, gallery, FAQ, testimonials, rich text — plus posts, and publishing when it is ready. A site can take a custom domain and verify it, and a draft can be shared as a private preview link. Someone can be invited purely to review a site: they comment and approve, and see nothing else of the business. Merchant sites carry the business's own brand, never Saroh's.
Services carry their price, length, capacity and the hours they are open. People book from the business's own site; a class can be in person or online with a meeting link sent to whoever books. Bookings can be moved, cancelled, or marked with how they went, and the business is told when one arrives.
A course is a fixed set of sessions sold as one thing: enrolling someone books them into every session still to come and invoices them once. Adding a session later books everyone already on it, and an open course holds its unsold seats so a walk-in cannot take them.
A class pack is classes bought ahead — ten classes to use within ninety days, say. Selling one issues its invoice; booking spends a class; cancelling gives it back; the balance is counted, never stored.
A catalogue with variants, SKUs and categories, and stock that knows what is already promised to an order and warns before it runs low. Products and customers can be brought in by CSV. Orders move forward only, one confirmed step at a time, and can be printed. Payment is recorded by hand or taken online through the business's own provider. Discount codes take a percentage or an amount off, across the shop or limited to one storefront, collection or product. After delivery a customer can be invited to review what they bought.
Plans and the memberships on them: subscriptions renew on their own, can be paused, resumed, ended at the period's end or cancelled, and each renewal writes its invoice. Invoices run from INV-0001 with no gaps, carry tax and due dates, and are paid by hand or through a pay link on the business's own provider. Overdue is worked out, never stored, and the money a person owes shows on their contact page.
Everyone the business knows, and where they came from. Leads carry their value and stage, with a pipeline board to move them along and follow-up tasks so nothing waits on an enquiry nobody opened. A contact's page gathers their leads, membership, packs, courses and invoices in one place.
Owner, admin, member and reviewer, and a business can invent its own role and tick exactly what it reaches. People are invited by email to one business only. A role that cannot reach a page is refused it by address, not merely shown a shorter menu.
Site visits, enquiries and sales over the last 7, 30 or 90 days. Home says what needs doing today across everything at once. Alongside: notifications, payment and messaging providers, and the modules themselves.
Messaging (with each contact's consent, over the business's own providers) and automations exist in the API but have no workspace screens yet. Platform staff have an admin app for feature flags and the audit log. The roadmap tracks what is next.

demo-password-123. The showcase gives that login a gym, a yoga studio, a
clinic and a shop to look around — the same businesses as the film above.
The password is for a database on your own machine only: seeding any other database (a shared dev one) needs SEED_PASSWORD, and the seed refuses the documented one there. Every
step is explained in setup-instructions.md.

There is no fee and no registration. Keep the licence and copyright notices in the source, and mark any copy you modify. That is all the licence asks. Sites built with Saroh carry no Saroh branding, and the licence doesn't change that. The one restriction, on offering Saroh as a hosted service, keeps the hosted service from simply being resold. If that is what you want to build, get in touch.
The Open Source Definition doesn't allow limits on how software is used, so Saroh is source-available rather than open source.
Saroh is built part-time. Issues and pull requests may wait a while, and a nudge after a week or two is fair. Your first pull request needs the one-line agreement in CLA.md.
