TimeCoin

TimeCoin is a P2P marketplace — list and sell directly to other users, like Facebook Marketplace or Mercado Libre — that accepts payment in pesos, in TimeCoin, or both. TimeCoin itself is a real Bitcoin clone: a from-scratch blockchain with SHA-256d proof-of-work mining, secp256k1 wallets, a UTXO ledger, block reward halving, and Bitcoin's difficulty-retarget algorithm — same fundamentals as Bitcoin, no labor-hour peg or attestation gate. Workspace layout

• apps/web — the Next.js (App Router) marketplace PWA: listings, auth (Clerk), Postgres (Neon/Drizzle), and the wallet UI that talks to the chain.
• apps/blockchain-node — the TimeCoin blockchain node (mining, wallets, UTXO ledger, HTTP API). See apps/blockchain-node/README.md for how to run it and its full API.
• docs/economic-model.md — notes from an earlier economic model; the current tokenomics are Bitcoin's (21,000,000 max supply, 50-coin initial block reward, halving every 210,000 blocks, 10-minute target block time, 2016-block difficulty retarget).
• legacy/rust-mvp — the original Rust MVP (a "verified labor-hour" mint gate). Retired in favor of the Bitcoin-clone model above; kept for reference only, not deployed.

Run locally

Deploy

• apps/web deploys to Vercel (Root Directory: apps/web).
• apps/blockchain-node deploys to Fly.io (it needs a long-running process to mine and hold chain state — not a fit for serverless functions).
