Work Kit
A personal Cursor plugin for every project: plan first, debug from evidence, review the real diff, ship a clean commit, and save repeated workflows as skills.
Public GitHub home: github.com/Ses2905/cursor-skills.
Library system. This repo is organized as a composable library — Prompts,
Skills, Workflows, and Global instructions. See LIBRARY.md for
the model, AGENTS.md / DESIGN.md / CLAUDE.md
for global context, and tools/ai-lib to install
new prompts/skills/workflows from a folder, zip, or GitHub URL.
Install it once at user scope. Do not copy these files into each repo.
Install from GitHub (desktop skill library)
git clone https://github.com/Ses2905/cursor-skills.git
cd cursor-skills
bash scripts/install-global.sh
Run that inside this kit, not inside the app repo you are working on. If scripts/install-global.sh is missing, you are on main before this script landed — use bash scripts/install-local.sh and bash scripts/sync-user-skills.sh instead, or check out the branch that added install-global.sh.
That copies the plugin to ~/.cursor/plugins/local/work-kit, every skills/*/SKILL.md folder into ~/.cursor/skills/, the Owl-Listener designer-skills pack, and deletes the project-local npx skills add leftover (.agents/, skills-lock.json). Then:
- Command Palette → Developer: Reload Window
- Open Customize, filter User, confirm Work Kit
- Settings → Agents → Context and Tools → Sync Skills for Cloud Agents
Or copy only the skill folders with the skills CLI:
npx skills add https://github.com/Ses2905/cursor-skills
Install from this directory
If you already have the repo checked out:
chmod +x scripts/*.sh
./scripts/install-local.sh
That copies a real folder to ~/.cursor/plugins/local/work-kit (Cursor ignores symlinks that point outside that directory). Then:
- Command Palette → Developer: Reload Window
- Open Customize, filter User, confirm Work Kit
- Invoke skills with
/plan-the-work, /debug-from-evidence, /review-the-diff, /ship-the-change, /capture-a-skill, /install-impeccable, /install-github-skills, /install-open-design, /web-design-guidelines, /react-bits, /high-end-visual-design, /lark-slides, /slides, /frontend-slides-editable, /html-ppt, /product-strategy-session, /board-room-strategy, /html-diagram, /hyperframes-animation, /remotion-best-practices, /emil-design-eng, /review-animations, /improve-animations, /find-animation-opportunities, /pm-handoff, /codex-ppt, /ppt-master, /guizang-ppt-skill, /ppt-visual, /presentation-art-director, /frontend-designer, /motion-design, /huashu-design, /ui-ux-pro-max, /rad-spacing, /walmart-ads-terminology
- Slash commands:

On Teams/Enterprise, admins must allow Dashboard → Settings → Security & Identity → Marketplace and Plugins → Allow Local Plugin Imports.
After you edit this repo, run ./scripts/install-local.sh again and reload.
Publish to GitHub
./scripts/publish-to-github.sh
Pushes main to Ses2905/cursor-skills. Needs write access: Cursor Dashboard → Integrations → Connect GitHub (grant Ses2905/cursor-skills), or a GH_TOKEN / GITHUB_TOKEN with repo scope.
GitHub skill catalogs
awesome-cursor-skills is a list, not a plugin. This repo pulls a curated preset into ~/.cursor/skills/:
./scripts/install-catalog-skills.sh --preset design-product
That installs design-system, visual QA, motion, presentation, copy, and product-shaping skills. Details: skills/github-skills/SKILL.md. List first with --list.
Skills database (find a skill)
Every skill under skills/ is indexed into a searchable, categorized, and
ranked database.
Interactive app (recommended). Run the local server and open the page — a
sortable, filterable table ("Skills Field Guide") with a Refresh button
that rescans your skills so newly added ones show up instantly:
./scripts/skills-db.sh serve # http://127.0.0.1:8765
Each row shows what the skill is (a sentence or two), its best use case,
watch-outs (where it doesn't fit, pulled from the skill's own stated
boundaries), category, type, score, how to invoke it, and the dates it was
added and last updated (from git history). Search across everything, filter by
category or type, sort any column, and click a row for the full brief.
The page ships a small design system: three token-based themes — Field
Guide (default; paper + pine, editorial serif), Slate (cool neutral +
indigo), and Nocturne (dark) — switchable from the toolbar and remembered
across visits. Filters, sort, and theme are reflected in the URL so a view is
shareable. Sort headers and row toggles are real buttons (keyboard accessible),
with visible focus rings, aria-sort/aria-live, and reduced-motion support. The app
talks to a small JSON API: GET /api/skills (live index) and POST /api/refresh
(rescan + rewrite the committed SKILLS.md, skills-database.html, and
catalog/skills-index.json). Click Refresh after adding a skill and it
appears — no restart, no rebuild step.
Terminal. Find or browse without the server:
./scripts/skills-db.sh find animation # ranked matches for a topic
./scripts/skills-db.sh find "user story" # multi-word query
./scripts/skills-db.sh list # categorized + ranked listing
./scripts/skills-db.sh stats # category counts + top skills
./scripts/skills-db.sh build # regenerate the committed artifacts
In chat, /find-a-skill routes to the finder. The static
skills-database.html also opens straight from disk (no server) as a snapshot —
the Refresh button only appears when served.
Skills fall into six categories — Product & Discovery, Design & Frontend,
Motion & Animation, Presentations & Diagrams, Engineering Workflow, and Setup &
Install (new categories appear automatically if a skill needs one). Each skill
gets a 0–100 score that rewards invocability (a /command or auto-applying
rule), bundled tooling (scripts/, tests, examples/, docs/), doc depth,
metadata completeness, and catalog/README integration. See SKILLS.md
for the full ranked catalog.
Adding a skill category or root? Edit SKILL_ROOTS / the taxonomy maps at the
top of scripts/skills_db.py.
Cloud Agents
Cloud VMs do not see ~/.cursor/plugins/local. To reuse the skills there:
./scripts/sync-user-skills.sh
Then Settings → Agents → Context and Tools → Sync Skills for Cloud Agents.
Keep repo-specific knowledge in that repo (AGENTS.md, .cursor/rules, .cursor/skills).
AI UX Playground npx skills add dumps into .agents/skills/ and skills-lock.json. Those are local leftovers and are gitignored. Vendor a skill into this plugin at skills/<name>/; do not commit a second catalog root. Taste is skills/taste-skill, not .agents/skills/gpt-taste.
What you get
| Kind | Name | When |

Marketplace plugins (user scope)
Install these from Customize → Install → user, not project. See STARTER_PLUGINS.md.
Start with:
- Continual Learning — writes durable facts into
AGENTS.md
- Create Plugin — scaffold and validate more plugins
- Product plugins you already use (Linear, Figma, Notion, GitHub, Playwright)
User Rules vs this plugin
Put short communication preferences in Customize → Rules (account-level, syncs with your login). Put workflows here. Put codebase facts in the repo.
