BidRadar for Freelancer.com
A browser tool that finds Freelancer.com projects that fit you, shows how tough the competition is, learns from what won on similar projects, and writes a ready-to-paste prompt so any AI (Gemini, ChatGPT, Claude) can draft your proposal. You still review the proposal and place the bid yourself.

Features
- Live project feed: active projects in your skills, newest first. Auto-refresh every 30 s to 5 min, with a countdown to the next refresh in the top bar.
- Hot project alerts: you set the rules (posted within N minutes, at most N bids, minimum fit score and budget). A hot project gets a banner, a flashing tab title, a desktop notification and a sound that repeats until you open it or click "Got it". Quiet hours are supported.
- Sound & volume: five built-in alert sounds (no files), volume up to 300%, mute, and a separate sound when a client replies to or awards one of your bids.
- Fit score (0–100): based on your keywords and skills appearing in the project, plus how fresh the post is.
- Filters: keywords, fixed or hourly, minimum budget (USD), maximum bids, client countries, minimum fit score.
- Competition analysis: every bidder in the order Freelancer ranks them for the client, with country, reviews, rating and bid amount. Click a row to read their proposal.
- Fees before you bid: allowed bid range, Freelancer's fee on a typical bid (and what you keep), and the sponsor cost.
- What won on similar projects: looks at recently awarded projects in the same skills and shows the winning price (vs. budget and average bid), how fast the winner bid, how many reviews winners had, and the winning proposals.
- Copy AI prompt: one click copies the project, competition, past winners, your profile and your proposal rules into a prompt for any AI. It asks for a fit check, two proposal versions, a suggested bid and questions for the client.
- Auto tracker: your bids sync from Freelancer automatically. Status comes from the project (pending, lost, expired), award (offer, won) and message threads (replied). For open bids it shows where your bid ranks. It tracks reply rate and win rate.
- Settings from your profile: "About you" and match keywords are built from your own Freelancer profile on first sign-in, and you can edit them. Export and import (settings, filters, alerts and skips) let you move between browsers.
- Small touches: tooltips on anything that isn't obvious, +/− steppers on number fields, Esc closes the project panel.

Getting started
- Create a personal access token at accounts.freelancer.com/settings/develop. Tokens last 30 days.
- Open the app and paste the token.
- Check Settings. Add the tools and terms clients actually write to your match keywords, then save.
- In the feed, open a project, click Copy AI prompt, paste it into your AI, review the result and bid on Freelancer.
Match keywords
Keywords are comma separated and matched as whole words. api matches "REST API" but not "rapid", and node matches "Node.js" but not "nodes". Phrases must appear exactly, so add short forms too:
react, next.js, node, express, postgresql, api, microsoft 365, office 365, sharepoint, power automate, active directory, intune, firewall, vpn, wordpress, python, web scraping
Privacy
- There's no backend. The app is static HTML, CSS and JavaScript, and it talks straight from your browser to
freelancer.com/api.
- Your token, settings, skips and tracker are stored only in your browser's localStorage. Exports never include the token.
- It's read-only: it only makes GET requests. It never bids, edits or sends messages.
Fair use
Freelancer's API terms prohibit automatic bidders, so this tool deliberately stops at research and drafting: every bid is placed by you on Freelancer. Freelancer hides project owners in the API (since December 2025), so the tool does not try to identify clients.
Run locally
It's static, so any local server works. For example, open the folder in VS Code and use Live Preview, or run:
npx serve .
