GameOn
An arcade of party games anyone can make.
Describe a game out loud, an AI builds it in about an hour, and you play it with whoever's
on the couch. It runs in the browser on a phone, a tablet or a laptop. Nothing to install,
no accounts, no ads. Kids make games here. So do their parents, after bedtime.
What's in the arcade
- Super Sauce Boy, made by
NotClay. Wall-jump through twelve kitchen levels as a tiny drop of hot sauce.
- Fancy Food Fight, made by
Jeremy. Splat a posh dinner party with pies and spaghetti. Messiest wins.
- MazeAThon, made by Ryan and the
kids. Find twelve shape keys across three mazes and escape some very cute monsters.
- Trampoline Battle, made by
Jeremy and the kids. Drop fighters onto a trampoline and bounce the other team off, one
or two players. Cow drops and chicken attacks included.
- Princess Lady Drive, made
by Jeremy and the kids. Drive Queen Rosie around a town where everything is free, now
with more rooms in the castle.
- Stretcher Bearer, made by
Jeremy and the kids. Carry the wounded in from the trenches as a WWI medic.
- Angry Dudes, made by Jeremy and the
kids. Sling troops, fire cannons and call in air strikes across 37 real battles.
- Magic Friends, Up We Go!, made by
Jeremy and the kids. A mermaid, a fairy and a unicorn climb 60 levels to bring back the
sunrise.
- Timed Out, made by Jeremy. Put real
events from Wikipedia in order. Three wrong guesses and you're timed out.
Make one
- Say what you want to play. Tap Make a game in the arcade, then talk or type: who's
in it, what you do, what makes it funny. Fix the typos and hit Send to the Matrix.
- Someone signs it off. Sending opens GitHub with the idea filled in, and someone with
access presses Submit. That's the one human step.
- An AI builds it. An agent scores the idea, builds it, and a second agent checks it
plays and stays safe. Follow along on the New Game page: "Got it!", "Being built",
"Game on!".
- Game night. It lands on the test arcade first, then the real one once someone
approves the release.
Like a game but want it different? Tap Update while you're playing it. If it's your
game, the change becomes your next version. If it's someone else's, it becomes your own
version alongside theirs, and players pick which one to play.
Who's behind it
Jeremy (@jwildfire) and Ryan
(@killjoy00), their kids and friends, who come up with the
games, and a few AI agents, who do the building. Next up: controller support and couch
co-op games for two to four players.
