Magnet Strategies
Magnet Strategies is an Algorand-native DeFi organization founded in June 2025 with a
single long-term objective: to grow the value of the Magnet token ($U) at a rate that
consistently outpaces ALGO. The organization pursues yield across multiple Algorand
DeFi products — LP-collateral lending, a native stablecoin, strategic liquidity pools,
and partner money markets — and reinvests returns into the token's underlying value.

/tokens; /dao and /vote into /tokens#governance. The authority for all
of this is web/next.config.js and
web/src/components/Navbar.tsx — if this
table and those files disagree, the files are right.
Products
MagnetFi
The lending/borrowing arm. LP-collateral vaults + the mUSD stablecoin + Peg Stability
Module (PSMv3) are live on mainnet — borrow mUSD against Tinyman LP tokens (U/tALGO,
U/USDC) while the LP keeps earning fees; mUSD is fully USDC-backed. Single-token
lend/borrow via partner CompX markets is also surfaced. mUSD ASA: 3615600399.

UVote
The governance arm — advisory, founder-led voting over $U. The founder posts an
open question (liquidity, parameters, investments, or any direction); $U holders lock
tokens to signal a preference; the founder acts on the mandate. Live on mainnet
(App 3679681107). Replaces the retired "MagnetDAO" quarterly-liquidity model.

Strategy
The DeFi strategy arm — products where a user takes a position or deploys capital into
an engineered strategy, as opposed to accepting a posted rate (that is the Bank). Some
run on our contracts, some on a third party's. Magnet writes no contract on either
product below; every action is a PEX call signed by the user's wallet.
- Perps (nav: Trade) — leveraged positions on PEX, Ultrade's Algorand
perpetuals protocol. Live on MainNet.
- Strategy Pools (nav: Strategy) — liquidity into those same PEX pools, from the
other side of the book: you earn trading fees and yield, and you are the counterparty.
Depositing and withdrawing happen in our own UI, with no link-out. Current status,
including which paths carry a real signature and which destinations are public, is in
strategy/pools/OVERVIEW.md.
CLMM pools on PactFi and structured vaults come later.

Predict
VPL — Volatility Prediction Ladder. mUSD-denominated, user-to-user price markets:
the protocol never takes the other side, holds no inventory, and carries no directional
risk. Its own tree and its own page, deliberately — those guarantees are Predict's
identity and must not be imported into products that do not offer them.

Tokens
The $U token and mUSD on one page (/tokens), with live stats, charts, swap, and
the $U liquidity pools across Tinyman & Pact (fee/farm APRs, deep-links to add liquidity).

ASA TVL Tracker
Cross-DEX liquidity analytics for the whole Algorand ASA ecosystem: the top 100 ASAs by
TVL, surfaced as the TVL Rank metric box on /token (with a scrollable Top 100 modal)
and as a public read API at /api/leaderboard. Live.
Built because Vestige — long the ecosystem's ASA index — stopped keeping up with new pool
contracts. Most notably it does not see Pact's managed-weighted pools, whose reserves live
in pool global state rather than the pool account, so every escrow-balance indexer reads them
as empty. That is ~44% of $U's real liquidity. This tracker reads them directly, which makes
it the only correct source for several assets.
Analytics only. Nothing here feeds MagnetFi, mUSD, vault LTVs, or liquidation — it is not
an oracle, and no protocol code path reads it.

Nav, and where its docs live
The app nav is organised by user intent; the repo is organised by where doctrine
lives. They are allowed to differ, and a tree exists only where there is shared
doctrine to hold.

/predict is live and reachable but has no nav slot — VPL is deprioritised.
Hidden, not removed; see Navbar.tsx, which tests that it stays unlinked.
Note: MagnetDAO was the first governance vision, later rebuilt as UVote. The
docs tree is split into org/ and vote/ accordingly.
The contracts were split on 2026-10-27: contracts/uvote/ holds the one live
governance contract, contracts/legacy/ the three retired ones. They had all sat
together under contracts/magnetdao/, where nothing distinguished the contract
running on mainnet from the ones that never shipped.
An earlier version of this note said the directory could not be renamed, because
deploy_uvote.py does from uvote.uvote import ... and a rename would break the
deploy of a live contract. That was wrong. The import is a sibling package
import resolved against the script's own directory, so the parent's name has no
bearing on it. What matters is that each deploy script stays beside the package it
imports — which the split preserves, and which is now stated in
contracts/legacy/README.md.
The move was verified rather than assumed: uvote.py at its new path compiles to
bytecode whose SHA-256 is byte-for-byte identical to the approval program running
on App 3679681107.
voting.py was deployed (App 3554779766) and is dormant: it holds zero $U, so
no user funds are in it, and VOTING_APP_ID in web/src/lib/constants.ts is defined
but never read. The retired contracts' fate is an open item in
org/OVERVIEW.md.
