A free roster proposal tool that runs entirely in your browser. Sketch out a shift roster, see how it scores against the rules you set, and export it. No sign-up, no server, no cost.

What it does
- Build a roster with full-time, part-time, fixed, casual and overtime lines
- Set your own shift times and rules (no.of days in a row, rest hours between shifts,min no. of days off)
- Optimise a rotation, then check a scorecard showing what improved and what didn't
- Compare against the starting roster and see which shifts changed
- Export to print or spreadsheet
Your data stays on your device
ShiftSketch works offline once loaded. Nothing is sent anywhere: your roster is saved only in your browser on your own device. There are no accounts and no tracking. See the privacy page.
Two ways to use it
- In the browser: open the link above. Free, nothing to install.
- As an app: on your phone or tablet, open the link, then choose Add to Home screen (or Install app) from the browser menu. It then opens like any other app and works offline.
Tip: it's designed tablet-first, but works on a computer or phone too.

ShiftSketch is a general-purpose planning aid. It proposes rosters for you to review; always check the result against your own award, agreement and workplace rules before using it.
