Stars is a Windows analysis tool for Active Directory permissions, NTFS access rights, and SMB shares. For every user, the tool shows the effective access rights that actually apply to folders and files — and above all how those rights come about: through which groups, which ACL entries, which inheritance. Stars is exclusively a read-and-analyze tool. It does not modify any permissions, groups, or AD objects.
