Local evidence recall for Claude Code and Codex: recover earlier decisions, conversation passages and recorded tool requests with source references and checked quotations. Claude Desktop Chat and Mac-connected Cowork can use separately configured read-only readers. The core uses Python and SQLite with no embedding dependency required. Lexical retrieval is the default. Optional local embeddings, operational logging and private coding sessions are explicit opt-ins.
