pdf-tool

Free, private PDF tools that run entirely in your browser. Your files never leave your device — there is no backend, no upload, no server processing.

Built with Next.js 16, pdf-lib, pdf.js, and qpdf-wasm.

Privacy

All processing happens locally using WebAssembly and the browser's native APIs. Files are never uploaded to any server.

Development

npm install

Production build

# Outputs a fully static site — all 24 routes prerender as static HTML.

Deployment

This project outputs a standard Next.js static/server build and can be deployed to any Node.js host or CDN.

Vercel (recommended):

# Preview deployment
npx vercel

# Production deployment
npx vercel --prod

Or connect the repository in the Vercel dashboard — no additional configuration required. The public/qpdf.wasm file is served as a static asset automatically.

Other hosts:
