Welcome to the LangX Token webpage! Alongside helping you learn a new language through practice and immersion with native speakers around the world, LangX rewards you with tokens for doing it — an in-app point you earn by practising and teaching, and spend on streak freezes and cosmetics. This page explains how that works.
LangX Token is not a cryptocurrency. It cannot be bought, sold, traded, staked or withdrawn, it is not on a blockchain, and it does not unlock a paid plan.
This webpage is built with HTML, CSS and JavaScript — no build step, so what is
in the repository is what ships.
Analytics. js/analytics.js sends page views and one event to PostHog on
its EU cloud, in cookieless mode: no cookie, no local storage, nothing written
to the visitor's browser, and therefore no cookie banner. It ships off —
POSTHOG_KEY at the top of that file is empty, and with no key nothing loads
and nothing is sent. Paste the app's PostHog project key there to turn it
on — the same project, because the free plan allows exactly one. The key is
public by design, can only write events, and already ships inside the mobile
app's bundle. Every event is stamped langx_surface: 'token-website' so the
app's dashboards can filter this traffic out. js/posthog.js is
dist/array.no-external.js from posthog-js 1.428.6, vendored the way
gsap.min.js is so no code is fetched from a third-party CDN. Changing any of
this means changing privacy.html, which describes it.
Design. The page uses a scoreboard treatment: #130900 ground, #ffc409
and #ff571a accents, Bungee for display type and Space Mono for everything
else. It deliberately avoids market imagery — no tickers, no prices, no charts
that could be read as a traded asset.
Social preview. images/site-preview.png (1200×630) is rendered from
tools/og-source.html. To regenerate it after a copy
change:

Keeping the numbers honest. The earning rates, caps, daily pool and item
prices on this page are published values from the app's own configuration —
packages/shared/src/token.ts (TOKEN_RULES) and cosmetics.ts in the
langx repository. If those change, this
page has to change with them — and now something notices when they do. Every
figure taken from that configuration is marked data-rule="<key>", and
tools/check-token-rules.mjs fails when one
disagrees with the app, or when the app has a rule the page never mentions.
It runs on every push and pull request and every morning against the app's
main (token-rules.yml). Locally:

The same script checks each page's canonical and hreflang links, the sitemap,
and that the FAQ's JSON-LD says word for word what the visible FAQ says.
Languages. The page is published in the app's eight languages: English at
/, and tr/, de/, es/, fr/, pt-br/, ru/ and ar/, each a full
copy of index.html. A change to the English page is a change to all eight;
the check above will fail on any copy whose figures or FAQ fall behind.
Bungee and Space Mono have no Cyrillic or Arabic, so ru/ and ar/ load one
extra face each for those letters (see the top of css/style.css).
Search. robots.txt, sitemap.xml and 404.html exist so Cloudflare
Pages stops treating this as a single-page app — without a 404.html it
answers every unknown path, robots.txt included, with the homepage and a
200. _headers keeps the maintenance page, tools/ and this README out of
search results.
