The singularity is the moment machines become smarter than people and change everything. This game asks: can you get there by 2030 without the world falling apart?
A think-tank-style, game-theoretic superintelligence wargame in a pixel/Nintendo UI. Play 4, 6 or 8 rounds against a fictional rival state, while profit-driven labs, the open-source commons, criminal syndicates and lawmakers play their own games.
Play: https://700799.github.io/ai-war-game/
The map is the main screen. A console panel above it carries the briefing, crises, your choices and results, two or three buttons at a time; details open in drawers. Each round can unlock a new world, a small map of 3–4 buildings, and you can switch between unlocked worlds or look back at earlier rounds in History:
Beginner shows 4 meters, medium 5, advanced 8; the rest live in a drawer. Your rival, The Directorate, strikes harder as its threat level climbs. Byte the advisor dog weighs pros and cons when asked, but never picks for you.
Strategy and economics in play: Thucydides Trap · credible commitment and audience costs · costly signals · offense-defense balance · race to the bottom · free riders · Jevons paradox · winner-take-all · moral hazard · decoupling costs · diminishing returns · export controls and retaliation · tokenomics (falling token prices, price wars, abuse economics) · SI-powered bank theft · attacks on operational technology (OT)

Fictional scenario. Actors are archetypes, not real organizations.
ROAD TO SINGULARITY is a fictional, educational simulation about policy trade-offs around superintelligence, cybersecurity and society. It is not a prediction of real events.
