First, run the development server:
npm run dev
# or
yarn dev
# or
pnpm dev
# or
bun dev
Open http://localhost:3000 with your browser to see the result.
You can start editing the page by modifying app/page.tsx. The page auto-updates as you edit the file.
This project uses next/font to automatically optimize and load Geist, a new font family for Vercel.
The website is the Next.js app at the root. Phase Two adds npm workspaces beside it, so the website and the Kiungo 2 desktop app share one engine:
| Folder | Package | What it holds |
|---|---|---|
packages/core | @kiungo/core | Parts, the lab model, firmware files, board definitions and the board emulator. No React. |
packages/ui | @kiungo/ui | Kiungo 2 design tokens and brand assets. |
packages/api | @kiungo/api | The typed contract between the desktop app's main process and its interface. |
apps/desktop | @kiungo/desktop | The Electron app. See apps/desktop/README.md. |
npm install at the root installs everything. The website imports the engine as @kiungo/core/....
npm run check # types, lint and every test (vitest)
npm run build # production build (no internet needed: fonts and the code editor are bundled)
GitHub Actions (.github/workflows/ci.yml) runs the same steps, plus the MCP server's typecheck and self-test, on every pull request and on main. A red check means the change isn't ready to merge. Tests live in __tests__/. Every pull request also bumps the version and adds a CHANGELOG.md entry, and __tests__/Version.test.ts checks it.

The app is hosted at https://jumetra-frontendv0.vercel.app/. Production talks to the Firebase Python API:
NEXT_PUBLIC_API_URL=https://europe-west4-hhipsystemv0.cloudfunctions.net/api
NEXT_PUBLIC_WS_URL=wss://api-aoxa3kagvq-ez.a.run.app
HTTP requests use the Firebase HTTPS Function. WebSocket requests use the Cloud Run host because the HTTPS Function wrapper does not proxy WebSocket upgrades. Add https://jumetra-frontendv0.vercel.app as an authorized domain in Firebase Authentication. NEXT_PUBLIC_* values are embedded at build time, so redeploy after changing them.
