Latest release: v1.0.0 (zip, about 115 MB)
SHA256: 53D1A6619FDA540E93E1213CC9053A81AD29C83D856D99F46BA57B09667BA865
Right-click the zip and choose Extract All first. Do not run it from inside the zip. Then run DEVADARA.exe inside the extracted folder. Nothing needs to be installed.

I'm an IT student from Sri Lanka. I wanted to learn how antivirus tools really work, so I built one that runs fully offline and never uploads your files. It is a learning project and a portfolio piece, not a replacement for a full antivirus product.
Every file goes through the same four checks, in this order:
Other features:
DEVADARA borrows its idea from the human immune system:
Python, PySide6 (desktop UI), scikit-learn (Random Forest model), YARA, PyInstaller (packaging), and Ed25519 signatures (self-integrity check).
DELETE.DEVADARA is not signed with a paid code-signing certificate. Windows SmartScreen may therefore show "Windows protected your PC" or "Unknown publisher". To run it anyway, click More info → Run anyway.
Before you do that, check that the zip you downloaded is the real one. In PowerShell:
Get-FileHash .\DEVADARA-1.0.0-win64.zip -Algorithm SHA256
The hash should be:
53D1A6619FDA540E93E1213CC9053A81AD29C83D856D99F46BA57B09667BA865
If it does not match, do not run the file.
Note: the app's own Ed25519 self-integrity check is not the same as a Windows code-signing certificate. It helps the app spot its own files being changed, but Windows does not use it to decide whether to trust the app.
An external review of v1.0.0 raised four points: the order of steps when a file is quarantined, how the ML model file is loaded, how much real-world malware the current layers can catch, and cases where a check fails quietly without telling the user. I am verifying each point against the code. Anything I confirm will be fixed in v1.0.1, and this section will be updated with what I found and changed. Until then, please treat v1.0.0 as an early learning release.
