🚀 Getting Started

Prerequisites

• OpenJDK 21 - sudo apt install openjdk-21-jdk or Download
• Flutter stable - Install
• Chrome Browser - Download
• Git - Download
• Android Studio - Download (optional)
• VS Code - Download (optional)

Manual Installation

1. Clone the repository with all submodules:

   git clone https://github.com/growerp/growerp
   cd growerp
   git submodule update --init --recursive
   ./setup-backend.sh # (or windows: ./setup-backend.ps1)
   

2. Start the backend (in separate terminal):

   cd moqui
   # First time only — build and load initial data
   ./gradlew build
   java -jar moqui.war load types=seed,seed-initial,install no-run-es
   
   # Regular startup
   java -jar moqui.war no-run-es
   

3. Run the Flutter application:

   cd flutter
   # First time only
   dart pub global activate melos
   export PATH="$PATH":"$HOME/.pub-cache/bin"
   melos clean && melos bootstrap #(windows: ignore error with flutter-startup.sh)
   melos l10n --no-select
   melos build --no-select
   
   # Run the admin app
   cd packages/admin
   flutter run
   

4. Access the backend admin:

   • URL: http://localhost:8080/vapps
