The synergy engine is a standalone package (inkweave-synergy-engine) with zero React dependencies. It runs at build time to pre-compute synergy data, which the web app fetches as static JSON.
The engine has two kinds of rules: direct rules, which connect one specific pair of cards (such as a Shift card and its base), and playstyles, which connect cards that push the same strategy. Each rule's spec, with its detection patterns and scores, is its own *_RULE.md in packages/synergy-engine/, and the Synergy Rules registry lists them all.
Card data is sourced from LorcanaJSON and stored in public/data/allCards.json. Cards are deduplicated by fullName so the same card across sets appears once. Card images are single 337x470 AVIF files.
