First, run the development server:
pnpm dev
This project uses pnpm exclusively — no npm/yarn/bun lockfile is ever committed.
Open http://localhost:3000 with your browser to see the result.
You can start editing the page by modifying app/page.tsx. The page auto-updates as you edit the file.
This project uses next/font to automatically optimize and load Geist, a new font family for Vercel.
Every pull request runs .github/workflows/ci.yml: lint, tsc --noEmit,
the unit tests, and a production build. The build gets placeholder
environment values, not secrets — nothing is deployed from CI, and
DATABASE_URL only has to exist, because src/lib/db/pg.ts builds its pool
at module scope.
The end-to-end suite is not in CI and should not be:
E2E_ALLOW_HOSTED_DB=1 pnpm e2e
It drives a real browser against a real next dev, and it seeds and deletes
rows in the hosted Supabase project DATABASE_URL points at — there is no
local stack. Every room it creates is prefixed e2e- and removed afterwards,
but running it is a deliberate act, which is what the environment variable is
for. See .env.example.
