independently.

Run the migrations in supabase/migrations (via the Supabase SQL editor or supabase db push).
The schema (0001_init.sql) creates every table with Row Level Security so users only ever
touch their own rows, plus a trigger that bootstraps a profile, streak and free subscription on
sign-up. 0002_seed.sql seeds categories, licence modules and representative content.

The tutor route (src/app/api/tutor/route.ts) cascades DeepSeek → Anthropic → OpenAI → the
built-in rule-based explainer, tiers fast/smart models for cost control, and falls back
gracefully on any error. DeepSeek leads because its rates are what make the daily tutor
allowances in src/lib/billing/plans.ts affordable — see docs/ops/ai-cost-model.md.
Images are the exception. DeepSeek's API is text-only, so the sign scanner and any photo
attached to a tutor message skip it and go to Anthropic or OpenAI. With neither key set, those
features honestly report themselves unavailable rather than answering blind. See .env.example
for model overrides and token caps.

# plus eight plan codes (tier × cycle × track) — see .env.example
src/app/api/checkout/route.ts creates a hosted Paystack checkout when configured; the
webhook (/api/paystack/webhook) is the only writer of paid tier. Without Paystack env the
client unlocks the tier locally for demoing.

useStudyStore (src/hooks/use-study-store.tsx) is the single source of truth on the
client. It persists UserState to localStorage and exposes every study action. Swapping to
Supabase is a matter of replacing the persistence layer — the table shapes already match.src/lib/diagnostic/scoring.ts blends category accuracy with flashcard
mastery (weighted toward signs & rules) so the score moves after every session.src/lib/billing/plans.ts defines tiers, daily caps and feature flags;
the UI enforces them with hasFeature() / usageFor().Optimised for Vercel + a managed Postgres (Supabase/Neon). Push the repo, set the env vars, deploy.
