Lacuna is a revision app for secondary students.

Our aim is to be the best tool for secondary students to follow their lessons and practise for every test they sit, from school-based tests to their GCSEs, all in one place.

Everything you learn at school in one place, from this week's lesson to your final exams.

Tools such as Quizlet and Anki organise revision deck by deck. Lacuna tracks the whole picture: what has been taught, what each student knows and which tests are coming up, so it can choose what to practise next across all of it.

That ambition covers:

• Lessons: follow what is taught in class, in the order the school teaches it.
• School tests: prepare for end-of-topic tests, mocks and other school assessments on their own dates.
• GCSEs: build towards the final exams across subjects, boards and tiers.
• Knowledge: learn missing material and remember it for as long as it is needed.
• Application and exam technique: use knowledge in unfamiliar situations, construct explanations, use evidence and show working.
• Planning: allocate practice across subjects, tests, deadlines and available time.

Every feature should help choose, deliver or assess the next useful practice. The question Lacuna should answer is: what should I practise next, given everything I am studying?

This is our direction, not a claim that every capability has shipped or that superiority has been demonstrated. The focus tracker owns the delivery plan and evidence needed to assess progress.

Using Lacuna

Use Lacuna at getlacuna.app. Before moving from the previous Vercel address, export a full backup there and import it at the new address.

Export a full JSON backup from Settings → Full backup & recovery before moving devices or replacing data.
