Optional (Cursor only): npm run mcp:echarts starts a project-local Apache ECharts MCP server. Copy config/mcp/.env.example to .env and fill Baidu BOS credentials if you use that server to publish chart images. The app itself does not need .env to build or run.
npm run build emits dist/; Vercel serves that directory (vercel.json).src/components/app/.src/lib/far/ (shelves, glossary, questions). Source links point at acquisition.gov./) plus shareable learn routes (/learn/[unit]/, /learn/[unit]/[chapter]/).localStorage only (src/lib/local-storage.ts, src/lib/reading-storage.ts).No env vars are required for the production app. Site URL for the sitemap is set in config/app/astro.mjs (site).
This project is designed to fork and redeploy with zero backend setup.

Production for this repo stays Git-connected: pushes to main deploy automatically after CI. Branch pushes do not create Preview deployments; comment /preview as the first non-empty line on a same-repo PR (or run the Vercel Preview workflow) for a one-shot Preview.
GitHub Actions (.github/workflows/ci.yml) runs on every PR and on main: actionlint, Biome, knip, markdownlint, yamllint, pie-progress, the negative quiz smoke contract, typecheck, and build.
Local pre-commit (.git-hooks/pre-commit) runs the same checks plus isolated
hook/bootstrap fixtures. This repo owns its gate library and trusted dispatcher;
no private configuration repository or personal skill is required. Install Git,
Bash >= 5 and Python >= 3.11, then follow repository setup.
Setup provisions pinned public tools, including uv for YAML lint, and lockfile
dependencies. Package scripts never point core.hooksPath at .git-hooks.
main.npm run check (Biome + types) and npm run build before opening a PR. Use npm run gate for the full pre-commit suite.main.UI is public-only (no login). Prefer small, focused PRs.
