# Step 1 — Install LLLL (Claude Code)
git clone https://github.com/layrix-ai/LLLL.git ~/.llll && ~/.llll/install-claude-code.sh
# Restart Claude Code → type /llll
# Step 2 — Install the Guard engine (needs Node.js 22.12 or newer)
npm install -g @layrix.ai/llll-guard
# Step 3 — Auto-block on every git push (optional, per-project)
# Runs without AI — complements /llll guard push
cd /your/project && llll-guard install-hook
# Opencode and Codex CLI: ./install-opencode.sh and ./install-codex.sh (see Installation)
Pre-push compliance gate — optional, per-project
Installs a git pre-push hook that runs automatically on every git push, without needing to invoke the AI. Complements /llll guard push (manual, AI-invoked) as an always-on safety net.
Every
git pushis now scanned. Leaked API keys, hardcoded credentials and private keys are blocked before they leave your machine.Register free at layrix.ai to unlock full compliance findings.
LLLL is the core skill of the Layrix Compliance OS — Layrix Logic Layer Loop.
An always-present compliance layer that integrates into AI development workflows. LLLL uses a structured master compliance checklist to continuously analyze product features, codebases, and documentation — detecting compliance gaps, performing automated security scans, guarding push and release workflows, and generating actionable, traceable guidance. Includes Layer 0 (Software Resilience Foundation) and LLLL Guard (Push & Release Compliance Gate).
LLLL is an Embedded Compliance Layer — not a legal tool, not a document generator, not a checklist assistant.
It operates as three integrated engines:
LLLL is workflow-integrated and continuously active:
All commands are available to all users.
| Command | Description |
|---|---|
/llll | Compliance diagnosis with P1 risks and action plan |
/llll checklist | Structured intake checklist with completeness scoring |
/llll diff | Feature vs policy coverage matrix with change tickets |
/llll brief | Compliance expert handoff brief |
/llll deep | Strict review with sensitivity assessment and consequence modeling |
/llll scan | Automated security and hygiene scan with file:line findings |
/llll fix | Generate concrete code fixes for scan findings |
/llll grc | Governance, Risk, and Compliance dashboard |
/llll review | Human expert review escalation — generate review request for senior lawyers |
/llll guard | Push & release compliance gate |
/llll guard push | Pre-push diff scanning for secrets and policy-relevant changes |
/llll guard release | Pre-release artifact scanning for source leakage |
/llll override | Override SOFT_BLOCK findings with justification |
Full functionality at every level. For Unregistered users, every finding table shows half of its rows (round(N/2) by severity descending) and folds the rest with names listed.
Deep (/llll deep) is a command mode available to all users, not a tier.
On-demand compliance review by experienced senior compliance lawyers.
/llll review escalationAI Governance Professional (AIGP) certification preparation.
git clone https://github.com/layrix-ai/LLLL.git ~/.llll && ~/.llll/install-claude-code.sh
Creates ~/.claude/skills/llll/ holding links to the skill files only (not the rest of the clone), so Claude Code auto-discovers LLLL and git pull in ~/.llll updates it. Restart Claude Code, then use /llll immediately. Remove with ~/.llll/install-claude-code.sh --uninstall.
Upgrading from an install made before the skill files moved into plugins/llll/skills/llll/: the links the old installer made point at the old location, so after git pull run ~/.llll/install-claude-code.sh once more. Until you do, /llll will not load in Claude Code. The same goes for Codex (~/.llll/install-codex.sh, whose AGENTS.md section names the old paths). opencode keeps working from the files it copied, and ~/.llll/install-opencode.sh refreshes them.
Opencode: ~/.llll/install-opencode.sh (add --merge to merge into an existing config with jq; --uninstall removes it).
Codex CLI: ~/.llll/install-codex.sh (adds a marked section to ~/.codex/AGENTS.md; run it again after git pull to upgrade, --uninstall removes it).
Every installer backs up a file before changing it.
LLLL Guard is a Node.js program (needs Node.js 22.12 or newer), published as @layrix.ai/llll-guard:
npm install -g @layrix.ai/llll-guard
llll-guard --version
Prefer to run it from the clone instead? guard in this folder is a small launcher that finds Node and the engine, and ~/.llll/guard doctor --fix builds the engine in ~/.llll/llll-guard (npm ci && npm run build). ~/.llll/guard doctor shows which node and engine it found. Everything below works with either llll-guard or ~/.llll/guard.
Run once in any project repo:
cd /your/project
llll-guard install-hook
Every git push will now be scanned automatically. Secrets and policy-relevant changes are blocked before they leave the machine.
--force to replace it instead; it is backed up, not deleted.core.hooksPath. If your hook lives inside the project (husky), install-hook prints the one line to add instead of editing a tracked file..llll/logs/guard-not-run.log and lets the push through (for now). Set LLLL_GUARD_STRICT=1 to stop the push instead; stopping becomes the default in 1.0.To uninstall: llll-guard uninstall-hook (restores the hook it replaced, if any).
~/.llll/guard push # scan outgoing commits
~/.llll/guard release # scan what npm would publish
~/.llll/guard override PG-S004@<token> "justification" # <token> is printed next to the finding
~/.llll/guard doctor # check node and the engine
Exit codes: 0 passed, 1 blocked, 2 the guard could not run (never a pass).
