Stack

One Next.js app (App Router, TypeScript) — no separate API service, no monorepo. Postgres via Drizzle ORM. See docs/architecture.md for the reasoning.

Local development

Scripts

• pnpm dev — start the dev server
• pnpm build / pnpm start — production build and run
• pnpm lint / pnpm type-check
• pnpm test — integration tests against a throwaway smartdepo_test database on the local Postgres (created and migrated automatically; needs docker compose up -d). pnpm test:unit runs only the pure tests (no database).
• pnpm db:push — sync the Drizzle schema to the database (local dev)
• pnpm db:generate — generate a SQL migration from schema changes
• pnpm db:migrate — apply migrations (production: vercel.json runs it in the build; render.yaml as the pre-deploy command)
• pnpm db:seed — seed the plans table with the pricing tiers
• pnpm db:seed:dev — local-only test dataset: 12 users across 6 companies (one per plan/lock state), each with a laid-out facility, items, stock and movement history; rebuilt from scratch on every run, refuses any non-localhost DATABASE_URL, all accounts <name>@seed.smartdepo.test / Test1234! (printed at the end)
