Getting Started

npm install

Copy the environment variables listed in CLAUDE.md into .env.local.

Warning: .env.local holds the production BLOB_READ_WRITE_TOKEN. A local npm run build reads and migrates the live site content, so a bumped migration version (CONTACT_VERSION, HOURS_VERSION, SEED_VERSION) goes live the moment you build.

Most public content (services, testimonials, brand info, business hours) is editable in /admin without a redeploy.

Google Reviews

The home page shows the studio's Google rating and reviews (Places API (New)) right after the testimonials carousel. Code is in src/lib/google-reviews.ts and src/components/public/GoogleReviewsSection.tsx; the admin controls (on/off, minimum stars, hide individual reviews) are at /admin/google-reviews. It needs GOOGLE_PLACES_API_KEY in Vercel; without it the section does not render.

Current status (2026-11-05): the section shows the 5.0 rating and the 27-review count only. Google is not displaying this listing's individual reviews on its own pages, so there is no review text to show. The business owner needs to raise this with Google Business Profile support; review cards should appear with no code change once Google restores them.

Business Hours

Monday–Saturday, 10:00 AM – 8:00 PM. Closed Sunday. Booking slots run 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM.

The defaults live in BUSINESS_HOURS and BOOKING_TIMES in src/lib/constants.ts. Admin edits to hours persist; to force new code defaults onto the live site, bump HOURS_VERSION.

Domain / DNS

The domain is registered at GoDaddy and uses GoDaddy nameservers; no registrar forwarding.
