Every agent. The real terminal. In your pocket.
muxr is a mobile-first client for the coding agents running on your computers. See the whole herd at a glance — who's working, who needs you, who's done. Open any agent's exact live terminal, prompt it like you're at the desk, and watch it keep executing on your machine. Not a dashboard about your agents — the same session, built for a thumb.Read the full README ↗npm i -g --ignore-scripts \

Install the app on your phone, then open the link muxr link prints on it (or scan its QR): with Tailscale on both, the app pairs in one tap, no code to type. Off a tailnet, muxr pair --code shows a one-use QR and two words to compare. Setup picks how your phone reaches the computer, installs Herdr if it is missing, and changes nothing until you press Enter on that plan.
Nightly builds, the Linux desktop app, browser access, checksums and remote routes: install options →.
Answering an agent is not the hard part. Reaching it is.
| How you answer an agent today | With muxr |
|---|---|
| Leave the laptop open, check it when you think of it | The ask arrives as a notification |
| A plain terminal over SSH on the phone | The agents and their asks first, one tap to answer |
| A hosted cloud dev box, usually paid by the month | Your own computers, self-hosted, end-to-end encrypted |
| Mirror the whole desktop to the phone | The terminal at your font size, not a video of your monitor |
| Keep up with the agent in a chat app | The same session, with its scrollback and diffs |
muxr is built on Herdr, the workspace manager for coding agents, and any agent you run in a Herdr pane is visible here.
No customer logos to borrow and no quotes to invent, so here is what you can check for yourself:
signer.txt and native-provenance.json.yarn run check starts a real relay and host, drives live Herdr conformance, and runs the flow suite CI runs; the CI badge above is that lane's result on main. The computer side is Apache-2.0 and self-hosted: one muxr install on your machine, a relay that can run beside it or on your own server, and a phone app that pairs to it. Nothing about your agents, prompts or files is sent to us. Self-hosting → · Privacy → · Report a bug →
Vision says who muxr is for and what comes next. Contributing has the local setup and the checks. Architecture explains how the pieces fit; releasing covers the stable and nightly channels.
