Goal is to have a micro-app that onboards new Nostriches into the ecosystem as a whole by helping them set up their profiles and exposing them to all the things they can do on Nostr. Then ideally, the profile becomes a place that reflects their activities and they feel proud of. Part of this is also theming, which I look at like configuring your avatar in a video game.Read the full README ↗Here lies the code (computer code, not some type of secret code) for the Nosta interactive experience, the antidote for Nostr profile setup anxiety.

Nosta is not a place for posting timely social media content, messaging, etc. The site links out to other apps that specialize in these. It focuses on setting up and displaying static profile information (name, about, follows, badges, lists...), and also showcasing some recent activity like zaps and products listed for sale.
This is a for-fun side project by Christoph. It started as an entry in the Bolt.fun Nostr hackathon. You're more than welcome to contribute. Please start by messaging me or opening an issue to discuss your contribution before diving into code.
The NIP repository now marks NIP-06 and NIP-15 as unrecommended. Both still work here.
Probably more...
Switch to the right Node version (requires nvm). The version in .nvmrc is also what Netlify builds with.
nvm use
Install dependencies (requires npm).
npm install
Start the development server on http://localhost:3000
npm run dev
Build the application for production.
npm run build
Locally preview production build.
npm run preview
Run the unit tests. They cover the parts that handle untrusted content and keys: note rendering, price formatting, key conversion and relay URLs.
npm test
Run the smoke test. It builds the site, starts the production server and checks that pages render, and that the NIP-05 endpoint and security headers are in place. A passing build alone doesn't tell you that. Both run on every pull request.
npm run test:smoke
