An open-source clipboard manager for macOS, Windows and Linux. Everything you copy lands on a visual shelf that slides up with one shortcut. Find it by typing, pick it with the arrow keys, press Return, and it's pasted into the app you were using.
OpenPaste is an independent project inspired by the shelf-style clipboard managers on macOS. It is not affiliated with any of them.

Download the installer for your system from the latest release:
| System | File |
|---|---|
| macOS, Apple Silicon | OpenPaste-<version>-arm64.dmg |
| macOS, Intel | OpenPaste-<version>.dmg |
| Windows | OpenPaste.Setup.<version>.exe |
| Linux | OpenPaste-<version>.AppImage or openpaste_<version>_amd64.deb |
Supported: macOS 13 or later, Windows 10 or later, and current 64-bit Linux desktops.
The installers aren't signed with a paid developer certificate yet, so the first launch needs one extra step:
xdotool; Linux (Wayland) with wtype or ydotool. Install
one of them (sudo apt install xdotool). Without one, OpenPaste copies and you press Ctrl+V.
On Wayland, global shortcuts are up to your desktop: bind a system shortcut to

| Linux | ~/.config/OpenPaste/data |
history.json is the index, payloads/ holds the full text and formatting of each item, and
images/ holds copied images. Unpinned items are removed after 30 days or once you pass 2,000
items; both limits are in Settings.
OpenPaste never records:

A few decisions worth knowing:
osascript on

nothing to compile and the app builds on any machine.src/renderer/src/demo/), which also makes UI work possible without Electron.Ideas that would make good contributions:
