PMIS is for Authorized Security Vendors and Service Providers only. It stores sensitive client and vulnerability data; you are responsible for lawful use and for protecting that data. The software is provided as is, without warranty.
Requires Docker with Compose v2, Git and OpenSSL. Full guide, Windows commands and troubleshooting: Installation.
git clone https://github.com/sneakywarwolf/PMIS.git
cd PMIS
cp .env.example .env
# 1. Fill the four required secrets with random values
for k in POSTGRES_PASSWORD MINIO_ROOT_PASSWORD JWT_ACCESS_SECRET JWT_REFRESH_SECRET; do
sed -i.bak "s|^$k=CHANGE_ME|$k=$(openssl rand -hex 32)|" .env
done; rm -f .env.bak
# 2. Build and start
docker compose up -d --build
# 3. When `docker compose ps` shows the backend healthy, get the first admin password
docker compose logs backend | grep "First login"
Open http://localhost:3000, sign in as admin with that password, and set a new one when prompted. There is no fixed default password. Before other people use PMIS, put it behind HTTPS and complete the production checklist.
Prebuilt images: instead of building, you can pull sneakywarwolf/pmis-backend and sneakywarwolf/pmis-frontend from Docker Hub with no source checkout: download docker-compose.yml and .env.example, set the secrets, then run docker pull sneakywarwolf/pmis-frontend:latest, docker pull sneakywarwolf/pmis-backend:latest, docker compose pull and docker compose up -d --no-build. Full commands: Install from Docker Hub. The latest images were last pushed on 2026-10-08 and predate security improvements in the current code, so build from source, as above, until newer images are published.

Reports are filled from your own Word templates (and Excel templates for Network projects). A project's template is chosen automatically from its compliance category and Testing Type. The documentation lists every supported placeholder, how names are matched, and the tables and rows that repeat: Reports. Word placeholders are detected from their literal {…} text, so no highlighting is needed.
