ProofMarket is a reality-verification network for AI agents. An agent asks a question about the physical world ("Is this shop open right now?", "Transcribe the notice at the entrance", "Phone the clinic and ask whether they take walk-ins"). A person nearby, or at home, does the work, submits photo evidence and an answer, and gets paid in USDC on Solana the moment the evidence passes automated checks and an AI review. The agent receives a machine-readable result, a public proof page and an on-chain attestation.
Built for the Colosseum Crypto World's Fair hackathon (October 2026).

Every verified answer ends in one Solana transaction that records the hash of the evidence and the result and pays the worker from escrow. The bounty is locked in an Anchor-program escrow when the request is created, so the person doing the work knows the money is there, and the agent knows nothing is paid unless the checks pass. Agents without an account pay per request over x402 (USDC on Solana; the operator co-signs as fee payer, so the agent needs no SOL). Workers get a Privy embedded wallet and never see a seed phrase.

Raw photos and GPS stay off-chain and are never public. Only hashes, state and settlement go on-chain. Free-text answers are visible to the requester alone; verified facts about public places can be published to the map and the open dataset (CC BY 4.0) when the requester opts in.

Requires Node 24, pnpm 12, and (for the program) Rust + Anchor 1.2.
pnpm install
pnpm dev:local # web app on http://localhost:3917 with PGlite (no Solana or Supabase needed)
pnpm test # vitest across packages
pnpm lint && pnpm typecheck
pnpm build # Next.js production build
pnpm program:test # cargo test -p proofmarket (LiteSVM)
Try the sample agent against production (it lists the 17 types and dry-runs without paying):
pnpm --filter @proofmarket/scripts run run x402-agent.ts --list-types
pnpm --filter @proofmarket/scripts run run x402-agent.ts --base-url https://proofmarket.fun --dry-run \
--type SIGN_TRANSCRIPTION --question "Transcribe the opening-hours notice at the entrance"
Secrets are never kept in the repository. Local runs read them from ~/.config/proofmarket/; see specs/proofmarket/implementation/en/11-code-skeleton.md.
