Open, reproducible benchmarks for open models on EcoHash

Read the full README ↗Open performance benchmarks for the open models served on EcoHash, an OpenAI-compatible inference API. All EcoHash numbers are measured on a single NVIDIA RTX PRO 6000 (Blackwell, 96 GB).
The same open model gives different numbers depending on who serves it and how it is measured. Every table lists a Source column, and EcoHash rows (in bold) are our own measurements on a single RTX PRO 6000, end-to-end through https://api.ecohash.com/v1.
Numbers from different sources are not directly comparable. WER on LibriSpeech test-clean is easier than the leaderboard's 8-dataset average, so a lower EcoHash WER does not mean the model beats its leaderboard row. Compare within the same Source column. Prices are per-provider and indicative.
Bold = measured by EcoHash. RTFx here is peak aggregate throughput under concurrency.

WER is not comparable across sources. EcoHash rows are measured on LibriSpeech test-clean (the easiest English set) with simple normalization; leaderboard rows are the 8-dataset average, which includes much harder audio. Read WER only within the same Source column.

Bold = measured by EcoHash. There is no unified TTS speed leaderboard, so open-model TTFA is measured where available, otherwise vendor-claimed.

Measured on one RTX PRO 6000, end-to-end, 1024×1024. Each model runs at its design step count. Qwen-Image-2.1 measured 2026-09, the rest 2026-07.
| Model | Params | Steps | Latency / image | Time / step | Images / min | Price / image |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| flux2-klein | 9B | 4 | 1.2 s | 0.29 s | 52 | $0.02 |
| z-image-turbo | 6B | 8 | 3.2 s | 0.40 s | 20 | $0.01 |
| qwen-image-2.1 | 7B | 40 | 10.1 s | 0.25 s | 6.3 | not offered |
| qwen-image | 20B | 50 | 13.4 s | 0.27 s | 4.6 | $0.03 |
All four run at a similar time per step (0.25 to 0.40 s); total latency scales with the steps each model needs, which is why the 4-step and 8-step models finish fastest.
Qwen-Image-2.1 replaces the 20B DiT of Qwen-Image with a 7B one and drops from 50 steps to 40, which takes a 1024x1024 image from 13.4 s to 10.1 s. It ships under the Qwen Research License, so we measured it but do not serve it; the 2.0 model stays on the platform under Apache-2.0.
Same prompt across all four: "a red apple on a weathered wooden table, soft window light, photorealistic".

Two self-hosted video models, each on one RTX PRO 6000, single replica. All video output is priced at $0.05 per second. Wan2.2 measured 2026-08-10, the distilled t2v config and MiniMax H3 on 2026-08-18.
| Model | Config | Before | After | Speedup | Price / clip |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| minimax-h3 | 1344x768, 73 frames (3.04 s) | 174.8 s | 40.8 s | 4.28x | $0.152 |
| wan22-t2v-a14b | 848x480, 49 frames, 4 steps, CFG 1.0 | 62.7 s | 10.7 s | 5.86x | $0.153 |
| wan22-t2v-a14b | 848x480, 49 frames, 20 steps, CFG 4.0 | 132.3 s | 62.7 s | 2.11x | $0.153 |
| wan22-s2v-14b | 832x1088, 77 frames, 720 tier | 1025.7 s | 352.9 s | 2.91x | $0.250 |
| wan22-s2v-14b | 512x704, 77 frames, 480 tier | 307.1 s | 93.9 s | 3.27x | $0.250 |
The two t2v rows chain: the 4-step row's "before" is the 20-step row's "after". No weights were converted and no API contract changed in either model.
Three of the ten changes tried on Wan2.2 t2v returned nothing, and fp8 quantisation worth 1.29x on t2v was worth 0.6% on s2v. MiniMax H3 and Wan2.2 video generation, on one RTX PRO 6000 has the per-technique numbers, the stage breakdown, and the ones that failed.

Measured on one RTX PRO 6000, end-to-end. These are single-request numbers rather than aggregate throughput: single-stream tok/s is measured at concurrency 1.

| gemma-4-31b-it | 31B | 191 ms | 27 ms | ~37 | $0.50 / $0.50 | 2026-07-08 |
Peak output throughput under concurrency reaches about 11,500 tok/s on llama-3.1-8b-instruct and 8,900 tok/s on gpt-oss-20b. With 8k-token prompts, prefill throughput reaches roughly 170k to 220k tok/s, which makes long-context and RAG workloads the most cost-effective use of the card.
The qwen3.5, 3.6 and 3.8 models run MTP speculative decoding off a draft head their checkpoints already carry. On qwen3.8-27b it takes per-token latency from 22 ms to 13 ms, and the concurrency one card holds inside the same latency budget from 32 to 64. What speculative decoding did for Qwen3.8-27B has the rest.
Same open model, different providers, EcoHash in purple. It has the lowest time to first token on both charts. We also publish the precision behind each number, which not every provider does: FP8 for llama-3.1-8b-instruct, gemma-4-31b-it and the qwen3.5 / 3.6 / 3.8 models, BF16 for qwen3-coder-30b-a3b-instruct and qwen3-vl-8b-instruct, MXFP4 for gpt-oss-20b as the vendor ships it.

The speech numbers use the runner in this repo:
pip install openai jiwer datasets soundfile numpy requests
export ECOHASH_API_KEY=eco_... # create one at https://console.ecohash.com?utm_source=github&utm_medium=referral&utm_campaign=devrel&utm_content=benchmarks-reproduce
python speech/benchmark.py --stt-n 50 --tts-n 8
It discovers the active speech models from the catalog, so it only ever tests models you can actually call today.
Last run 2026-09-18 with Python 3.12.13 and openai 3.15.0, against a 39-model catalog.
LLM and image numbers were measured with an EcoHash load-test harness (concurrency sweep against the API); the methodology for each is described in its section above. Leaderboard numbers come from the HF Open ASR Leaderboard, and the LLM peer numbers come from Artificial Analysis.

EcoHash catalog and can no longer be called; whisper-large-v3-turbo, in the row below,
is the current Whisper on the platform. The row is kept because the measurement stands. ↩
