Sent mail appears in that mailbox's Sent folder and clients reply to it as normal. Every email is recorded in the activity log and listed on the Emails page.
Add these to the server environment (Vercel project settings, or .env locally):
SMTP_HOST=smtp.gmail.com # Google Workspace; Zoho Mail: smtp.zoho.in
SMTP_PORT=465 # 465 = SSL, 587 = STARTTLS
[email protected]
SMTP_PASS= # an app password for that mailbox
EMAIL_FROM_NAME=StackTribe # optional
EMAIL_FROM= # optional, defaults to SMTP_USER
EMAIL_REPLY_TO= # optional, defaults to the sender
EMAIL_BCC= # optional copy of every email
For local testing without sending anything, set EMAIL_OUTBOX_DIR=/some/folder
instead: each email is written there as an .eml file (ignored in production).
Signatures and the bank/UPI details used in invoices are set on the Emails page.
