| File | What it is |
|---|---|
index.html | Hub — landing page listing every training + a link to the Builder. Reads trainings/manifest.json. |
builder.html | Builder — the no-code authoring tool. Live preview, save/load, export. |
train.html | Player — renders a training by ?t=<id> (or a live-preview posted by the Builder). |
engine.js / engine.css | Shared engine — one renderer for every training (nav, modules, quizzes, shuffle, certification). Brand is locked here; each training only sets an accent color. |
trainings/<id>.js | One training each — a small file that registers its content. rentals.js is the flagship example. |
trainings/manifest.json | The list of published trainings the hub shows. |
config.js | Paste the Apps Script /exec URL to enable completion emails. |
Code.gs | The Apps Script backend — emails each training's manager on completion (+ optional Sheet log). Serves all departments. |
assets/ | Locked brand — logo, favicon, League Spartan fonts. |
.json to reopen later via Start → Import).Tip: Start → Load the Rentals example to build from a finished training instead of a blank page.
Manual fallback: if publishing isn’t configured, the same dialog lets you download the <id>.js file + manifest entry to hand to DJ.
Both run through a single Google Apps Script Web App:
Code.gs, fill in the CONFIG block: GH_TOKEN, REPO_OWNER (TheLineExp), REPO_NAME (rental-training), and a private PUBLISH_KEY you give to managers. (Optional: SHEET_ID, ALWAYS_CC.)/exec URL.config.js → TL_TRAINING_ENDPOINT, and set TL_SITE_BASE to the live site URL.Security: the /exec URL is public, so publishing is gated by PUBLISH_KEY and the token is fine-grained to this one repo (Contents only). Every publish emails PUBLISH_NOTIFY. Rotate the token if the key ever leaks.
The logo, League Spartan / Arimo fonts, and Line Blue are locked in engine.css — every
training looks like The Line. A department training only chooses an accent color and an
icon. Update the engine once and every training benefits.
noindex on all pages — keep it unlisted.localStorage, namespaced per training id.trainings/rentals.js
and is served by the shared engine like every other training.
