This repository is the Next.js app for UGC Pilot. It generates reusable AI creator avatars for short-form UGC ad hooks.
The app uses Next.js API routes to create durable Supabase background_jobs
rows and enqueue authenticated GCP Cloud Tasks. Cloud Run workers claim jobs
from Supabase, checkpoint progress, and store durable outputs in Google Cloud
Storage. Supabase remains the source of truth for job state and recovery.
The original foundation includes:
npm install
npm run dev
Open http://localhost:3000/dashboard.
On Windows PowerShell environments that block npm.ps1, run:
cmd /c npm run dev
or use:
scripts\dev.cmd
The project URL is configured as:
https://kltxwijhluawgveykfbt.supabase.co
Set NEXT_PUBLIC_SUPABASE_ANON_KEY in .env.local before calling Supabase from the browser. Do not store Supabase management tokens in app files.
Set these server-side values in .env.local, then restart Next.js:
OPENAI_API_KEY=sk-...
SUPABASE_URL=...
SUPABASE_SERVICE_ROLE_KEY=...
GCP_PROJECT_ID=ugcsaas
GCP_REGION=us-central1
GCP_STORAGE_BUCKET=ugcsaas-media
GCP_CLOUD_TASKS_LOCATION=us-central1
GOOGLE_CLOUD_CREDENTIALS_JSON=...
Set the queue names and Cloud Run task URLs shown in .env.example. See
infra/gcp/README.md for the service-account and Terraform setup.
Run both local processes:
npm run dev
Worker-backed debug routes enqueue durable jobs and poll background_jobs:
POST /api/debug/test-generate-avatarGET /api/debug/avatar-run-status?jobId=...POST /api/debug/test-generate-hook-videoGET /api/debug/hook-video-run-status?jobId=...
