In My Deck, click a keyword for its explanation or a token name for its enlarged card. Locked cards keep their printed rules visible and identify the champion needed to unlock them. Starter Deck is selected initially. Each named deck saves its edits automatically, including its Hero Power. Use Create a new deck to name an empty deck, Saved decks to switch between them, and Clear to empty the selected deck. Incomplete decks can be finished later. The pencil and bin beside Saved decks rename or delete the selected deck. The Starter Deck always keeps its name and cannot be deleted. Choose Hero Power sits at the top of the deck list. Cards sort by mana, lowest first; choosing a mana value sorts that result by rarity instead.
Phone battles use landscape orientation. Menus and deck editing also work upright. Swipe the hand to reach later cards. Rules, sound controls and duel history are available during a duel. Use Menu on phones.
Minions belong to Magic, Nature, Tech or ALL, and have Good, Evil or Neutral alignment. Relics are teal equipment cards carried by minions. The in-game How to play guide contains the full effect glossary.
Total: 45 initial cards + 172 rewards = all 217 cards.
The first victory in each universe grants its fixed reward once. Replays do not grant duplicate packs. Defeat, surrender, a draw or an abandoned attempt grants no reward. New cards never silently replace cards in your deck. Nine first victories unlock the remaining Hero Powers. Universe order does not matter. A new power makes its chooser glow until you open and close it.
Human turns last 100 seconds. A warning appears only during the final fifteen seconds. Unfinished cancellable plays return to hand when time expires; committed choices finish before the turn passes. Training and developer test duels have no deadline.
Each champion has a named power and voiced dialogue. The text remains readable when audio is unavailable. Victory dialogue and unclaimed rewards survive a reload.
Choose a Hero Power from three, then pick thirty cards, one from each offer of three cards of the same rarity. Every card in the game can be offered, owned or not, and a card is never offered twice in one draft. Picks 1, 11 and 21 offer only Legendary or Mythic cards. Relics stop appearing once a deck holds six. Each rival drafts its own deck. Rivals play as Recruit for your first two wins, Veteran up to four, then Ascendant, always without Ascendant's extra knowledge. A run ends at seven wins or three losses. A draw is replayed. Conceding, or starting the next duel while one is unfinished, counts as a loss. Drafts never award or remove collection cards. The draft screen keeps your best run and total wins. Between duels, the run screen shows the next rival's Hero Power and, for each finished duel, the card that decided it.
Open Online on the title screen. One player creates a room and sends its six-letter code or invite link; the other joins with it. The duel starts as soon as both are in. No account is needed. Each player uses their own deck and Hero Power. The room's creator plays first; the other player receives The Coin. Both players have an opening mulligan and 100-second turns. Concede ends the duel at once. After a duel, the room's creator can deal a rematch. Online duels do not award cards and are not saved. If a connection drops, the duel waits for up to a minute while the joining player reconnects, including after reloading the page. Leaving the duel concedes it. Players connect directly, through PeerJS's free public service. A few strict networks block such connections; another network usually works.
Your collection, decks and ongoing duel save on this device in this browser. A private window or cleared browser storage starts a separate collection. Continue duel restores an unfinished game. There is no account synchronization. The website displays an aggregate visit count.
